Trying to answer the question which is the best CMS, we decided to do some experiments.
We thought we'd set some tasks to a simple Internet user and see which one would work best.
We started with something very simple
- Creating a photo gallery
First we installed a wordpress and a joomla
wordpress = 30 seconds and it was installed
joomla = 2+ minutes because we thought there was no way a simple user could create a photo gallery without a plugin
Just finished with the installation, we handed over the administration to a simple user (40 year old woman) ...... the result
- wordpress = 3 minutes to add the gallery to the page
- joomla = after 45 minutes and a broken keyboard ...... quit
